Unsubscribe From (or Stop) The Yahoo Group Emails  

Here’s a Yahoo Group technical tip most of you will eventually need:

Because you signed yourself up for our Yahoo Group, you will also have to be the one to remove yourself from it, if that's what you prefer.  But you if you “leave” the Yahoo Group, you'll also stop being able to send emails to the rest of group and won’t be able to access any other resources in our Yahoo Group.

Instead, you may want to just change your notification preference to just not forward the messages to you.  If this is what you really want:

  1. Go to our Yahoo Group, http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/psgcnj/
  2. Go into the “Edit Membership” link near the top (under the banner ad).
  3. Scroll down and select "Web Only" (or whichever you prefer).
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click on the "Save Changes" button.

If you really wanted to stop being a member of our Yahoo Group altogether, click the “Leave Group” button down there instead.

PSGCNJ follows a policy of periodically removing members from our Yahoo Group some number of months after they've graduated (to a job) or stopped participating, so don't be too surprised if you get dropped someday even if you want to stay in the Yahoo Group. 

ADDITIONAL TIP:  LinkedIn Group membership is long-lasting. 

Even if you are dropped from our Yahoo Group, as long as you either “graduated” (landed a job) or retired from PSGCNJ membership in good standing up until you left, you’ll usually be able to remain a member of our LinkedIn Group ( http://www.linkedin.com/e/vgh/1199967/ ) for as long as you choose to keep yourself a member of that LinkedIn group, since that helps everyone’s networking.

(Of course, if you signed up for that and want to leave, you’d also have to have it remove you from that, too, when you want to.)
