Where Can I Get Training in Business Software Like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Email), and Other Tools?
- Local libraries often offer such courses for free. For
example:
- Somerset County’s Bridgewater Library
- Hunderdon County’s Library System
- Morris County Library (incl. Powerpoint, unlike others)
- Workforce Learning Link (web site, LWD info) training addresses a wide range of basic skills and also business software using Professor Teaches computer-based training. For further information, contact Ronald Douglass, DoL Counselor (908 782-2371) at the Somerville One-Stop Career Center. (His office hours in Somerville are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
- PSGCNJ’s Technology Committee is exploring possibly offering complementary technology training/tutoring (possibly MS Access or intermediate/advanced training in tools like Excel or more specialized technology).
